Contoura Vision Topography Guided LASIK is the latest, state of the art, technology for laser vision correction for removal of glasses. In this, the machine images as many as 20,000 points of your cornea individually, and corrects each one of them by a customized laser algorithm, ensuring crystal clear vision.

Contoura Vision received US FDA approval for a commercial launch in early 2016 after the results of the FDA clinical trials were evaluated for clinical safety and precision in terms of vision correction. Its introduction was met with a lot of enthusiastic approval from clinicians and patients alike once the clinical trial results became available in the public domain. There have been communications and publications of results of clinical experiences in the real world, as well as more clinical trials and the technology has proven to have several obvious advantages, which has made it the first choice for premium laser vision correction.

These advantages include:

  • Almost one third patients have better unaided vision after the procedure than they ever enjoyed with glasses or contacts before surgery.

  • Four out of ten patients attained a vision better than 6/6 or 20/20, which is normal for human beings. That means 40% patients following Contoura Vision LASIK, actually enjoy super vision, which is eye sight better than people who have no problems with their eyes.

  • Almost all patients report a significant decrease in annoying visual symptoms like glare, sensitivity to light, and difficulty in driving at night. So happy are patients with the results of Contoura Vision LASIK that as many as 98% have said they would choose the same surgery again for themselves, and recommend it to their friends and family.

  • The Contoura Vision technology uses the Femto LASIK platform, so is completely bladeless. The technology has the fastest tracker in the world, which ensures proper centration of the customized ablation, on the visual axis, each time.

The Contoura Vision platform consists of the extremely sophisticated WaveLight Allegretto Wave Eye-Q or WaveLight EX500 Excimer Laser Systems, along with the WaveLightTopolyzerVario Diagnostic Device (both manufactured by Alcon, USA).
